Traveling can be extremely exhausting, especially when flying for a really long time and if the time zones are far apart. Some people experience extreme jetlags or exhaustion when they arrive at the destination, which is a pity when you only got a limited time available on your stay.

So in this article I´m sharing with you, how you can prevent and reduce jetlag symptoms.

Sidenote: If you feel really run down at a place, it also might be a sign for you that the energy at that place is not in alignment with you. Everyone has different perceptions of places, and energetic needs. You can ask yourself if its the right place for you, if the energy is dragging you down and that might be another reason why you experience jetlag.

Long transits are the most exhausting thing for your physical body and mental wellbeing. Most airports are not designed to make you feel good, so there is a constant underlying stress and alert state.

If you can, do yourself a favour and don´t book flights with layover of more than 2 or 3 hours; you´ll very much regret it!

Packing your hand luggage right saves you time and stress by the control station. If you can, bring all your liquids and laptop in your checked luggage, so you don´t have to deal with a possible inspection.

I always carry a toothbrush, deodorant, a changing outfit and lip balm with me though. All of these things make you feel reborn when the travel is long. And most important: don´t forget a neck-pillow, sleeping mask and earplugs. They are an absolute game changer for having a restful sleep.

Sleeping well on a plane makes all the difference on how I feel afterwards. Especially when it´s a night flight or just a long one. It does not only shorten the time in ones perception but also causes less exhaustion. I always bring "Baldrian" (Valerinan Root) to help me relax and Magnesium additionally to it. Both together make me pass out for a minimum of 6 hours and I actually wake up feeling quite good. You can also try Melatonin pills if Baldrian doesn't work well for you. Personally I leave my hands off conventional sleeping pills, because they are too strong and in case something happens, you wouldn't be able to react properly.

Homeopathic Medicine can help your wellbeing on the flight and specifically afterwards to fight the jetlag. I always take 5 Globuli of "Nux Vomica" on the plane and then 3 Globuli afterwards. If the jetlag is really bad, you can repeat taking it each day until the symptoms are gone.

Bringing own food is something I´ve been doing for a long time now. Being Consecutive Appetite in Human Design, my foods need to be clean, simple and separated, so mostly the opposite of plane food.

I always got a sick stomach and felt weak and low frequency when I consumed what I was given on the plane. The food is not nutritious and highly processed and will make you feel horrible afterwards.

You can bring as much food as you want, even in hand luggage, as long as its solid and doesn't contain more than 100ml of liquid. I usually bring roasted or steamed veggies, hummus, avocado, nuts, fruit and some dark bitter chocolate. You´ll notice such a difference when you eat whats right for you on the trip.

I´d not recommend to drink any sugary or alcoholic beverages on the plane; you´ll not notice it in the air but potentially have a hangover in addition the days after.

After the travel there are a few things you can do, so your body adjusts better to the new environment and helps you eliminate jetlag. As explained before, I always take the Gobuli to help the jetlag, but I´d also recommend taking a long shower or a salt bath right when you arrive. that helps eliminate the radiation in your body. If you have the opportunity, earthing or grounding is very beneficial to let go of radiation as well. You can just lay on the grass or walk barefoot in nature.

Additionally you can use incense sticks or Palo Santo to cleans out the energies of other people from your body.

Last but not least, I recently learned that your suitcase or backpack carries a lot of radiation after only one flight and cannot be eliminated. So don´t store them close to you and especially not in your sleeping space.

Have a good flight and lmk if the tips served you!
